Walking in the game or living in the WORD - Part 1

Take a look at everything around you, take a look at the world, take a look at your life, take a look at your relationships, take a look at your family, take a look at your friends, take a look at your finances, what do you see, is there any commonality? Think about how you are living life, about everything you have done over the last few months, and this past year with this pandemic. Look at the past few years with relationships, friends, and family. Look at how you have served and done work for the kingdom.
I ask you to look at everything in your life. And now imagine what it would be like if all of that was gone. Would your world be turned upside down? If you were broke and living out of your car. Would you be humbled? If you had all the money in the world but have no family, what would fill that void? What would become of you? I ask you, would you be content having all the money in the world? Being able to get everything you wanted and still feeling empty? Or, if I asked any of the questions above, which one would you be ok with or which one would humble you?
Psalm 73:3 - "For I was envious of the boastful, When I saw prosperity of the wicked. When I was little, I always said I would have everything and I would-be them. I wanted and wished for what they had. It was sad as I knew God but did not know God."
I will tell you a true story about my childhood. We were those people. My parents had multiple real estate properties, a big house, and we were living a life of luxury. It was all taken away by a man my parents trusted with everything they had. This is when the so-called friend started playing the game and was greedy. He stole everything from my parents and wiped out all of our accounts and then he was gone. Do you see the game that some will play for money? What has your experience been? God wants to see how you are with what you have. If you had it all, but now it is all gone, are you going to play the game of life or fall back on God and live by the word? Do you look at everything that we have in the world and what you have been given?
Psalm 71:1 - "You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be put to shame."
What games are you playing? Chess, monopoly, scrabble, etc.. whatever the games are, look at them as you are looking at your life. Where is God on that board? He should be the one leading you and not the world or the worldly things.
I know that everything I have is because it has been blessed to me by God. Many are saying that there are many roads to heaven and there is NOT, there is one, and it is very clear.
John 14:6–7 - " 6 Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.' "
Matthew 7:13–14 - “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."
Think of Matthew 7:13-14 as a game which one would you go for? Would it be the wide path knowing that it will give you everything wrong in the world and bring you to destruction or would it be narrow, which even though it will bring some trials and tribulations it will give you eternal life. I know a few people that would walk the wide and think that when it comes to that point in time when they face death that they will have that second to repent. How do you know IT will happen as we don’t know our time? I want you to think about giving up everything that you have. Will you give glory to God with everything you’ve been blessed with? Have you thought about it if someone in your family is hurting financially, mentally, physically, or emotionally are you willing to take time to help them or give them whatever money you have in your wallet? Can you hear Holy Spirit telling you to bless them with what you have? Have you done that recently or have you ever done that? or do you think “they figured out how to get in this mess so now they can figure out how to get out of it?” Do you look at it as if my money is for me and nobody helped me get it? Give this some real thought think about it hard and don’t just give it two seconds, five seconds, or thirty seconds. I want you to give it a minute, really sit back and think about it, think about all of your actions, and think about everything that you’ve done since you were a little kid up until now
Matthew 6:19–21 - “ 19 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
When you first started reading this and looked at the title you may have been thinking this was going in another direction but this is coming through me from the Holy Spirit. I want you to think about how you were before you started reading this, have you started thinking about things, or are you just over this and want to be done reading it? Do you feel convicted by the word? If so, that is God knocking on your door.
All your actions have consequences and they always have an outcome. Over the last few years, I have heard a lot of people say that they don't feel that way and they look at this as a game. Some think that if they do something else for someone they will lose something for them and they don’t care about anything else.
I can honestly say that I have seen that people don’t want to realize if they do something right it's going to bless them in a way that’s going to continue to honor God. Some will think that if they do something wrong nothing is going to happen, they may not even realize that they may have a bigger consequence with what they just did. I ask you this when you read the word when you pray, are you rushing through it or are you taking the time to seek God? When you read his word ask Him to fill your mind and let you understand every single word that you’re reading, In every single passage so that you can let the Holy Spirit lead you with prayers, your conversation, and your thought so you can lift everything in prayer.
Acts 17:26–28 - "26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is not far from each one of us, 28 for “ ‘In him, we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “ ‘For we are indeed his offspring "
Matthew 12:36–37 - "36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, 37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Do you think or act as "let it be quick"? "Just let me get done with this because I have to check social media" or "Oh, I’ve got to head out to go meet my friends"? Why is it that God sent his Son to be here on earth to go through all the trials and tribulations that He went through? Think about this, Jesus was never rushed, He was never in a hurry because He was spreading the truth, knowledge, healing, casting out demons, and praying.
John 3:16–20 - "16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. 18 Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because He has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
I’ve heard so much in the last few weeks and really over the last few months from friends and pastors on T.V. asking people asking for money. They are saying that you have to send your money in to sow a seed and you have to do this to be blessed. What game is this called?? I have been hearing false prophets saying that they have been given a prophetic word from our father God but then they apologize for it because a different outcome happened.
Matthew 7:15 - "15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves."
When God truly speaks to you it will be clear as day as shown below:
Acts 2:17–18 - "17 And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; 18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy."
Amos 3:7–8 - "7 For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets. 8 The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?"
Who are we to take away what God has shown us, spoken to us, or revealed to us. If we turn our backs on God who are we as Christians? I want to tell you that because we’re not believing in GOD but instead, we are believing in the lowercase g‘s which are the man-made idols. These are the mythical or man-made images, statues and idols that some people seek and we praise and we give glory to.
