The Word of God

I’ve had many people ask if the Word of God is real over the last few years and I want to share with you the following thoughts. Most people do not seem to fully grasp, understand, relate, or even acknowledge that God exists and that He has given us the answer to everything that we will ever ask. This past weekend I watched a movie that really made an impact and showed how one person that loves God and shares His Word, continues to have faith no matter what gets dropped on him. He was an inspiration and a blessing to those around him. Why is it that each one of us cannot also do that constantly? We may have a time when someone is asking for help, reaching out in a way not familiar to us, or even flat out ask for help or need the word, but we are often too busy or we just ignore it. I know my God would never do that.

2 Thessalonians 3:16, "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you."

I have learned over the last 40+ years that God has his timing and I can nether rush nor motivate him to change it. I admit the one thing I did at a younger age was run away from God and attempt to hold Him at bay. At a young age my mother told me that God had given her a vision of my sisters and me on a stage in front of crowds speaking the word. I was later told this again by my Uncle Bill and a few others over time. I guess hearing it a few times and almost forty years late, I have accepted that God has something HUGE in store for me and my family as we serve His kingdom.

I know that only He can give and take away and He will open doors that my family and I need to walk through. I have seen a great vision for what I can only imagine is going to be a glorious day in His presence. The vision was as clear as day in what is to come and what will be. My friends, I tell you the things that I have been through, things that I have seen, things I’ve witnessed my children going through now is not the way God had our lives planned. We as humans will walk through almost anything to please one another or even get that quick fix but this is how we have broken away from what we should be doing on a daily basis. We should be reading the Word with our spouse, children, and alone so that we all grow in Him and in truth. Imagine, what would our family be if they do not know God? What would our children be if we, as parents, do not show them or teach them the Word? What would our friends or family be if we cannot pray for them? We as men, women, and children of God need to listen and learn when He speaks to our hearts. All that we are and have comes from Him.

It is crazy for me to think how people may or may not listen to His calling or words. But in reality, this is not something new, something I just thought of, or even from my thoughts. Many of our fellow brothers and sisters often preach this in hopes that you listen. Can you look at yourself and say I have truly heard it? At times, you may feel like it is a bad recording but I will tell you that it is not! We need to listen as God is the one filling our hearts.

Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

This is something that we, as the church, seem to have strayed away from. Every week we hear the Word, we may go to an online Zoom meeting, home group, Wednesday or Sunday service, but how often do you listen and speak to God during the week? Is it only when it serves your needs? Is It only when you learned that someone needed prayer? Is it, “oh I will pray for you” but then you forget? This is the first time I have put what is coming into my heart on paper as I learned that we often go by what is in our head and not by heart. I know that God has enough love to fill our hearts and in return, we should go out and share His love with others. I pray that God gives me more so that I can continue to feed, grow, write, and LOVE. I want to bless each and every one I can and pray that we all get to know God and grow in His love.

Listen to His voice! Listen to the Word! Listen and don’t be afraid to speak when you are called.

Numbers 6:24–26 “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

I AM HERE GOD! I AM READY FOR YOU TO DRIVE! FILL MY HEART! FILL ME WITH YOUR LOVE! I AM READY! TAKE ME TO WHERE YOU NEED ME! I RELEASE EVERYTHING TO YOU AND LEAVE IT AT YOUR FEET! YOU ARE IN CONTROL AND I WILL NOT PULL THE STEERING WHEEL AWAY OR PUSH YOU OUT OF THE DOOR! I AM YOURS! I LOVE YOU FATHER!

Luke 14:23 “Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.
